Compare the typical life coach to me

Picture thousands of soldiers charging forward into combat, raging with testosterone and fierce determination, only to get mercilessly cut down -

- because somebody armed them with fake guns and plastic helmets.

That's the reality of what happens to most people when they start out in business.

Slick coaches know how to make you buy their services, but precious few deliver the goods.

Worse yet, they tell you what you WANT to hear, not what you NEED to hear. Then you frantically strive for years, wondering why your hopes and dreams don't come true!

I won't send you into battle armed with plastic swords and shields.

The Typical Life Coach
  • Is the likeable feel-good type.
  • Have very thin credentials in the real world of business and money.
  • What you can conceive, you can believe, you can achieve... visualise and automatic results appear!

I'm nothing like that
  • First and foremost I deal in reality
  • I have real businesses, coaching is less than 20% of my turn-over.
  • Traditional Life Coaches will take on just about anyone who pays.
I strictly, and only coach serious entrepreneurs, business owners and executives.
(If you are not very senior in large firm or yet running your own business full-time you need to show me that you are SERIOUS about starting a business or getting on the fast track.)
  • Regrettably: I coach men only.
  • As alluded to previously, I have real credentials: Involved in 10 start-ups in 10 years, made and lost millions of my own money, and watched others wipe out nearly a billion in equity. (That’s a lot of mistakes I can help you avoid)

What I can do for you
  • Provide real business advise, give input/feedback on business plans, funding advice
  • Advise/Review your financial projections
  • Help you deal with scheming people, politics and power games
  • Kick your arse if that's what you need. (However if you don't eventually build your own motivation I WILL FIRE YOU as a client)
  • Direct you towards solutions
  • Help you process emotions evoked by difficult decisions
  • Advise you on difficult negotiations
  • Help build discipline and "close-the-loop"
  • Help you prioritise
  • Get your assumptions challenged
  • Help you brainstorm
  • Support you through major setbacks and big battles
  • Act as a sounding board
  • Teach specific thinking techniques (matrix thinking, mind maps, financial modelling, ROI/DRM marketing mindset, better goal setting)
  • Tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.
  • Independent 2nd opinion
  • Refining new ideas
  • Identifying areas of high leverage, looking for ways to apply the 80/20 principle everywhere.
